Project DescriptionWhen presented with a visually stunning 2-minute video of a helmet animated in 3D space, Digital One stepped in to take it over the top. The original sound design allows the beautifully animated visuals to show off the many features of the IKON AFP helmet. The vibe is dark and sinister, just the way we like it. If YouTube comments count for anything, the masses agree. Now go ride a motorcycle. Fast.

Best way to make sure you keep on the radar of a few hundred of your best prospects? Keep yourself on their desk, too. A direct mail series of squeal-worthy, easy-to-assemble-(and-share-on-socials!) "Pieces of Portland" highlighted five of Portland's most signature experiences to meeting and convention planners across the country, including a craft beer garden, Chinese garden, food cart, Max car, and wine country. Feedback was phenomenal and requests for these kits (and bookings for our convention center) were off the charts.

Project DescriptionThe U.S. Department of Energy’s SuperTruck Challenge asked truck manufacturers, "How far can you push technology without constraints?" Freightliner engineers responded with the Freightliner SuperTruck, a five-year research and development initiative to improve freight efficiency by at least 50%. Then, CMD stepped up to help create a full launch campaign—including the launch video, logo design, microsite development, media relations, promotional merchandise and more—that generated national coverage from major news networks and industry publications. This rich media site features gorgeous parallex animations that reveal the inter workings of the technology that makes the truck a SuperTruck.

Project DescriptionTo promote the 3rd season of Pedal Powered Talk Show (America's only internet talk show built into a bicycle), they had put up one billboard in Southeast Portland which got vandalized a few weeks after it went up. To promote the upcoming 4th season, we wanted to expand on that initial campaign with multiple billboards across Portland while commenting on the fate of the previous billboard. We put up four billboards, each with the same image but different copy, and we even pre-vandalized one of our billboards.

To promote the campaign, we organized a group bike ride to visit all of the billboards, leveraging former Pedal Powered Talk Show guests and sponsors to provide treats and surprises along the way. Riders were surprised with free T-shirts, chocolates from Alma Chocolate, a billboard-side barbecue, a performance from a biking bugler, sandwiches from Bunk Sandwiches and an explosive grand finale from Portland's beloved Unipiper playing his bagpipes that shoot flames!

As soon as the billboards hit the streets, we saw an immediate growth in both website traffic and episode views and the billboard campaign and accompanying ride was covered by local blogs and TV news.

Project DescriptionStarting a new brewery in Oregon is either brilliant or crazy. Fortunately, Oregonians’ appetite for handcrafted beers knows no end. Born on the coast, the local color, character and rich history of Astoria infused this brand with both a modern and been-here-forever appeal. Signage, package design, video content— all come together to define a brand that can get along just as well with hearty, no-b.s. locals as it can with adventurous beer lovers roaming their local beer aisles.

Project DescriptionSambazon is an Acai company that has it’s roots in the Brazilian Amazon. They take great pride in being a responsible business with sustainable harvesting practices that do good for the people of the Amazon.

As part of a full redesign of Sambazon’s brand identity Mutt created a custom hand-lettered font. The brand redesign needed to capture the essence of the Amazon. In order for Mutt to do the brand justice, we felt we had to send the creative team to the Amazon to truly understand what the brand needed to communicate. The font was inspired by the rough, hand lettered style used in the area. And named for a native bird.

Project DescriptionEach year in advance of releasing a new edition of MLB The Show there is much excitement to find out who the game cover athlete will be. As part of '15's cover announcement we created a week long social campaign that not only got the conversation started online with speculation of who the athlete would be, but we invited our fans into the fun by offering custom covers for them of their choice.

We allowed fans to vote on past favorite covers and created a March Madness style bracket to highlight the winner.

We offered a Live Photoshopping day. Fans would submit ideas for the game cover design and we would photoshop it up and send it back through social channels.

The campaign resulted in 4.6M impressions and a 9.3% engagement rate

Humorous spots designed for die-hard NFL fans are airing digitally and in heavy rotation during regular season games. These ads represent the evolution of Microsoft’s creative approach for Xbox’s NFL sponsorship. In the main video now approaching four million YouTube views, Chet, the “Professor of Game Day,” schools NFL superstars on the Next Gen stats available on Xbox One. Chet was a hit in last year’s video campaign for Xbox, in which he evaluated the sport’s top names for their Xbox Fantasy League potential.
